Choose Your Bathroom

When planning your bathroom, there are many things to consider, from who will use it to how it will be used. Options include:

Family Bathroom – In a family bathroom, you need to have enough space that caters for your growing family.
En-Suite – A sanctuary that’s both luxurious and practical, where you can escape and relax.
Guest Bathroom – You’ll want to create a space which is both welcoming and pampering.
Rental Property - Reliability and durability are the most important concerns when selecting products.

Make a List

What do you most like and dislike about your current bathroom? Making a list of features you’d most like to retain or add in your new bathroom is useful for organising your layout. Maybe you’d like a walk-in shower, a large vanity with two sinks, a separate enclosure for your toilet, or a large, free-standing bath – it’s up to you.

Get Inspired

Looking for inspiration online and in magazines is a great way to get ideas. Whatever you need, our experienced designers and suppliers will aim to provide it for you and make it a part of your ultimate bathroom layout.

Plan Your Layout

Your layout can make all the difference to your new bathroom, so be sure to plan carefully. Here are some things you should consider:

Bath, Shower or both?

Baths come in a huge range of shapes and sizes and if you like freestanding ones it doesn’t necessarily mean they will take more room! Consider the space you have available and how best to organise everything, if you don’t have a separate shower now by moving things around you could create space. These days, many people are also opting to trade their bath for a luxurious walk-in shower.

Storage

A vanity basin unit plays an integral role in your bathroom for essential storage and can either be floor standing, wall mounted or fitted range. Choose a spot that won’t interfere with your traffic, and consider space above for a mirror or cabinet. The addition of wall cabinets and shelves will finish the look.

Shower

Shower

There are many choices of showers to choose from and it’s important to buy one that is compatible with your boiler system and water pressure. Also, consider the style of enclosure you would like, a walk-in wetroom or full glass enclosure? And whether easy accessibility is needed

Fitting

No matter what kind of bathroom renovation you are undertaking, plumbing will be one of the main costs so try and keep the costs down by limiting the need to adjust your existing plumbing set up. Consider the size of the area being tiled and the intricacy of the tiling as these costs can creep up too. Shower-boards are another option, which are also easy to clean and there’s some beautiful designs.
